REGARDING ROAD SAFETY TASK FORCE PROPOSALS
September 10, 2024, 6:45 PM
NOTICE is hereby given that the Road Safety Task Force will be having an open forum in the September 10th City Council meeting beginning at 6:45PM. They are seeking resident input on their proposals to:
1) Move to a uniform 20MPH speed limit throughout Birchwood Village.
2) Add two new crosswalks on Wildwood Ave at Birch Beach/Owl and Grotto.
3) Add a stop sign on Wildwood at 368 Wildwood.
4) The addition and use of solar powered radar signs.

REGARDING PROPOSED ORDINANCES
September 10, 2024, 6:45 PM
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Birchwood Village is proposing changes to its city code and will hold a public hearing, second reading, and final vote of the following Ordinances:
ORDINANCE 2024-08-01: AN ORDINANCE REPLACING SUBSECTION 304.020 OF THE CITY CODE TITLED “VARIANCE APPLICATION REQUIRMENTS” IN SECTION 304 OF THE CITY CODE TITLED “ZONING CODE: VARIANCES”.
ORDINANCE 2024-08-02: AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING SECTION 623 OF THE CITY CODE TITLED “ANIMAL BARRIERS”.
These public hearings will be conducted via the regular September 2024 City Council meeting set to begin at 6:45pm on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024. Each ordinance will receive its own individual public hearing, second reading, and final vote. A copy of the text of the ordinances are available on the City’s website here, or by contacting the City Administrator at 651-426-3403 to request a physical copy.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That a City Election in the City of Birchwood Village, Washington County, MN will be held on November 5th, 2024, with the following offices to be filled:
Mayor – Two-year term
Two Council Members – Four-year terms
First day for filing Affidavit of Candidacy: July 30th, 2024. Last day for filing Affidavit of Candidacy: August 13th, 2024, 5PM.
