Pesticide / Pollinator Policy

The Birchwood City Council adopted a policy on September 10, 2019 that bans pesticides containing neonicotinoid, a chemical linked to the decline in pollinators such as honey bees.  Although this policy pertains to official City use, residents are also encouraged to follow these same practices in your own yards.  Below is a copy of the City policy and several guides from the MN Dept. of Agriculture.
